Open Schooling @ Academia

We are offering open schooling options for Failed / Drop outs / Discontinued candidates. We use to provide the students classroom training, project guidance, hands on practical experience from our experienced teacher panel, who are attached with renowned pvt. and govt. institutions. We guide the candidate from the admission to the examination preparation for open school courses of Secondary (Class X) and Higher Secondary (Class XII) standards, from govt. / pvt. boards or councils.

We have following options for our students to choose, for their open schooling.

1. National Institute for Open School (NIOS) - Click Here
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) formerly known as National Open School (NOS) was established in November,1989 as an autonomous organisation in pursuance of National Policy on Education 1986 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. NIOS is providing a number of Vocational, Life Enrichment and community oriented courses besides General and Academic Courses at Secondary and Senior Secondary level. It also offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE).Government of India through a gazette notification vested NIOS with the authority to examine and certify learners registered with it upto pre degree level courses whether Academic, Technical or Vocational. Association of Indian Universities, vide letter No . EV/11(354)/91/ 25 July, 1991 issued Equivalence of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination of NIOS.

2. The West Bengal Council Of Rabindra Open Schooling (WBCROS)
As formal education could not reach out to all sections of society covering all categories of people, Open Learning System makes it possible to include different sections of men and women of different age group. To meet the need for Open Learning System State Open School came up as a wing of the School Education Department in 1997. Renamed as Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya (RMV)in 1998, it grew into a Statutory Organization with effect from 1st August, 2001 on the basis of Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya Act, 2001, passed by the West Bengal State Legislature. The Act has been amended first in 2002 and next in February 2006. The amended Act has come into effect from the 1st January, 2007. According to the amendment of February, 2006 the Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya has been renamed as the West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling (WBCROS). The West Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling imparts open learning through self-study materials and personal contact programmes. More flexible and less rigid rules and procedures have been formulated taking into account the special need and circumstances of the target group of learners for whom the W.B.C.R.O.S is conducting study, examination and certification at the Secondary (class X) and Higher Secondary (class XII) levels. From the point of view of its constitution and responsibilities, this Council is analogous to other State Boards, Councils like the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education or the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. TheWest Bengal Council of Rabindra Open Schooling is recognised by the Government of West Bengal as well as the Government of India, the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), other Boards etc and it is a member of the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE).

3. State Board of School Examinations ( Sec.) & Board of Higher Secondary Examinations , Tamil Nadu

State Board School Examinations (Sec.) & Board of Higher Secondary Examinations , Tamil Nadu also known as Tamil Nadu State Board has been entrusted with the onerous responsibility of conducting the Board examinations for the students studying in the State Board in Std X and XII. The mark certificates issued to the students of standard X and XII is considered as a vital and valued document for continuing higher education and for seeking job opportunities.

Apart from above, This Board is conducting examinations and issuing certificate for Diploma in Elementary Education , Government Technical Examinations and ESLC (Eight Std – Private Study). In addition , Scholarship Examinations such as NMMS, TRUSTS and National Talent Search Examinations are conducted by this Directorate. This Directorate has 7 Regional offices at Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Tirunelveli , Chennai, Cuddalore and Vellore. The logistics work for transporting of stationery items related to examinations, distribution of fund for conducting examinations and and distribution of Mark Certificate are performed by this regional offices.
